Meet Natasha McCrary, Owner, of 1818 Farms

“To me, flowers evoke many fond memories and convey heartfelt emotions. Whether it be the celebration of a happy event, a simple thank you, or as a condolence, flowers are a symbol of kindness.  Flowers are the one gift that I like to give as much as to receive. They simply make me happy.”

Natasha is a flower farmer located in North Alabama with a focus on community education and sustainable practices. In 2017, she launched “The 1818 Farms Seed to Vase Initiative”. The goal of this initiative is to educate others on ways to identify, grow, harvest and/or arrange seasonally grown flowers. Natasha also focuses on achieving zero waste through seed saving, composting, harvesting flowers for drying, and botanical dyeing.
